Tiramisu with a Twist

Why go out when you can have date night in with homemade tiramisu?

It has all the classics: espresso, mascarpone, ladyfingers, sugar. But here is the twist. Instead of rum, I use SANC soy sauce. That's right...I said SOY SAUCE. It does not taste like soy sauce. In fact, it makes the espresso bolder, the sweetness smoother, and every bite a little more decadent.
This is the kind of dessert that makes staying in feel like the best plan you have had all week.
Tiramisu with a Twist (serves 8):
6 extra large egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups brewed espresso, divided
16 tounces mascarpone cheese
30 Italian ladyfingers
Good Quality Cocoa Powder for dusting
1 teaspoon SANC soy sauce in place of dark rum
Steps:
Whisk yolks and sugar until pale and thick, about 5 minutes.
Add half the espresso, the mascarpone, and soy sauce. Mix until smooth.
Dip ladyfingers quickly in the remaining espresso and a splash of soy sauce. Do not let them get soggy, all you need is a second.
Layer ladyfingers and cream mixture twice.
Chill for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Dust with cocoa or top with chocolate before serving.
Pour a glass of wine, grab two spoons, and you have a date night in worth remembering. ❤️
